STEP 1 VOTE WHERE YOU LIVE
Know your city or town address.
Have proper ID such as Drivers Licence, Health Card, Status Indian Card.
One must have your address on it. SGI ID Card/Drivers Licence is best.
If you live in the city and do not have an ID with an address on it when you come to vote, have a bank statement, cell phone bill or utility bill in your name with your street address.
If you do not have an ID with an address on it and live at a First Nation, you can still confirm where you live in 1 of 2 ways.
1. You can use the LAND LOCATION. Here is how to get your land location
1.1 Call your local Rural Municipality Office. Tell them you want your land location.
1.2 On your cell phone or home computer,
Download Google Earth. Stand at your home and press find my location. Google Earth will give you your LAND LOCATION. This land location you give to Elections Canada when you register to vote.
OR
2. First Nations sign a CONFIRMATION OF RESIDENCY LETTER
IF YOU LIVE ON A FIRST NATION,YOUR FIRST NATION CAN PROVIDE A CONFIRMATION OF RESIDENCY LETTER DECLARING YOU LIVE ON THE FIRST NATION!
BRING THIS LETTER WITH YOU ON OCTOBER 11 12 13 or 14TH IF YOU WANT TO VOTE IN ADVANCE POLL OR ON ELECTION DAY OCTOBER 21, 2019!
STEP 2 REGISTER TO VOTE
Register to Vote Online.
Make sure you register to vote EVEN if you have a PO Box or Rural Route address. As long as it is in the ONLINE Registration system, you will be registered.
Deadline date to REGISTER ONLINE is October 15, 2019 6:00 pm.
You can also register at a Local Elections office also by October 15, 2019 6:00 pm.
Make sure you have a city/town address or PO BOX address or a Land Location to register online!
Go to www.elections.ca/register to register to Vote or by going into your Local Elections Office.
You can also call 1.800.463.6868 to make sure you are REGISTERED!
If you do not register ONLINE you can still vote! Just have proper ID.
STEP 3 FAMILY & FRIENDS
Make sure your family members and friends are registered to Vote!
STEP 4 VOTE
October 11, 12, 13 & 14 VOTE IN ADVANCE POLLS 9 am - 9 pm
October 21, 2019 VOTE ON ELECTION DAY
